WIBU to report this intimidating behaviour to 101?

Last night I was driving home after dinner with friends when I was harassed by another driver.
I was joining the motorway, behind a really slow car in the middle lane and this absolute dickhead in an Audi, also joining the motorway, tried to pull out and overtake me as I was doing so, he came up really close behind flashing his lights, so once it was safe to do so I moved back over.
he pulls in front and slams his brakes on, then drives really slowly, so I pull out to overtake and he speeds up again, driving alongside me and being really abusive, so I slow down and he does the same, I speed up, same again.
this ‘game’ continues for a couple of minutes and I start to get a bit panicky.
eventually he gets bored and drives off but it left me really shaken.
I took the number plate down, so WIBU to report him to 101? Or should I just let it go and forget about it?

Report! They’ll be able to check the motorway cameras

Thedogscollar · 29/01/2023 17:59

No you were absolutely right to report them. Not sure if anything would be done about it with services being so stretched at the moment.
People like this cause accidents. I hope you are feeling better now things like that are very scary.

Report and go get a dashcam. Next time someone decides to be a dick point at it. They’ll soon fuck off.

Definitely report it. I’ve had this happen and it’s so scary. Wish I had taken the number plate. It is so so dangerous

superdupernova · 29/01/2023 19:54

I've had this happen to me in my little VW up! Funnily enough, it never happens when I drive my DH's Tesla at the same speeds. Some drivers are dickheads.

Thanks, will report it online, not that I expect anything to actually be done about it, but hopefully if he makes a habit of it then it adds to the body of evidence!
