So in 2/3 of cases the victim hasn't been drinking.

Would you share it?

Thing is ... I don't know if I'm brave enough

Is this poster even legit? Fucking disgusting victim blaming.

NorthernSoul55 · 29/01/2023 00:44

Yes, absolutely.
Where are these posters being displayed? I'll carry a red sharpie at all times..

Poonicorn · 29/01/2023 00:45

The NHS has been showing its misogynistic colours for a long time.

DuplicateUserName · 29/01/2023 00:49

What do you mean you fixed it?

That poster has been fixed by 100s of people on the internet since it first came out in 2014.

TightFistedWozerk · 29/01/2023 00:50

This was from a 2014 campaign that was withdrawn quite fast. Obvs we would always prefer to never have women being victimblamed. But this poster is not one to get outraged over, 9 years afterwards.

Isthisjustnormal · 29/01/2023 00:50

Not defending the poster: but there was outrage at the time it was created, and it's not been in circulation for a while... www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/pavan-amara/victim-blaming-campaign_b_5640602.html; www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2706734/Anger-government-poster-appears-blame-rape-alcohol-women-drink.html (pols for the DM link)

I totally agree with the amends you've made.

However, this was from 2014 and I hope lessons have been learnt about victim blaming since then!

I had to check it wasn't a 9 year old thread 😏

I do agree with your amendments, OP.

Do you suffer from terminal Hey I Have Read This Already-itis too? (it is akin to elephant memory for threads, sometimes a curse)

Yes and once when I checked out the AS, I found it was me under a previous user name! 🙈😂

TightFistedWozerk · 29/01/2023 01:02

Thankyou everyone for the date info! The reason I believed it was new was that I saw it on LinkedIn yesterday from a very reputable source and all the conversation suggested it was a current publication. Good to know it was recalled!
