Help with dog? toddler cough and vomitting??

Hello for the past 2 nights. Poor 2 year old has been coughing then vomitted..this has only happened in the night? During the day, she's fine..no temperature although still has the slight cough.
I am really confused. Exhausted is an understatement as I am alone so having to get up and wash everything 😩.
The only thing that happened on that first day was the dog got into her room.. we always keep the dog downstairs and isn't allowed upstairs.
However. She had got out from.the back room.whilst we were at work so had a free roam and weed in toddlers room! I don't know if this is the cause? I just find it odd because before this toddler had cough but no vomitting?
Because its happened twice now I am getting concerned. Not sure if this is normal? Please advise thanks

Has she a blocked or runny nose? DD can sometimes cough till she's sick if she has a runny nose, then lies down to sleep and I guess it all goes into her throat. She's a couple of years older than your DD but has done it for years. No real sign of being ill in the day, just needs to blow her nose a bit, and then at night she's really poorly.

Yeah but it's odd her runny nose was worse days ago, I actually thought it had improved so find it odd how she's suddenly sick..its awful as I keep hearing her toss and turn so think it's really uncomfortable
.is there anything you did that helped with it during the night? I keep thinking maybe an allergy but why would she develop one now?

The dog getting in just as she started being sick is a coincidence.

Get yourself some calpol plug ins to help her snuffly nose and hopefully she will be on the mend soon.

Yeah sorry forgive me over worrying. I read somewhere dog pee can be dangerous to breathe in..tbh the dog has peed in the house a fair few times anyway. I just thought it may be potent whilst she's sleeping

Is she constipated ? My son was like this last week 2 nights in a row coughing and then threw up he was constipated though so think he was trying to poo where he had relaxed and it made him sick as soon as he pooed he went back to sleep and slept through

Both my DC (2 and 5) have had the coughing then vomiting in the night thing this week. I'm assuming it's a bug. We don't have a dog.
