Not sure whether to go for short hair?

My hair is in a short bob currently as seen in the image, I've been growing it out from a pixie for nearly 8 months.
I was also growing out a fringe which now sits below my nose. It's too short to tie up and it's got layers in it, just feels a mess.
It's in good condition and I let it dry naturally. It flicks out like Miss Hooley which is annoying, would look better if I straightened but don't want to damage my hair.
Just feels quite shaggy, limp and that it just hangs around my face with no real style.

Thinking of going for an asymmetrical pixie. I've had this before, received compliments but I've always ended up trying to grow it out. Just not sure really, may regret it. But really dislike this current style.

Just feels like men prefer longer hair a lot of the time, also nobody in my friendship group has ever had short hair, I don't know why people fetishize longer hair so much.

It’s your hair. Cut it however you like it. What men fetishize changes with fashions as much as women’s preferences change with fashion. At the end of the day it’s not really important. It won’t stop you finding a partner anymore than any other physical feature. Not many people expect to be with a supermodel or the (current) “ideal woman/man”. Think about it: would you not date a guy because he was bald, or too hairy, or has a beer belly? There are probably some features you find non-negotiable and others you’re not fussed about.
The most important thing is to be comfortable and confident in yourself. So wear what you like, do your hair how you like, and find someone who’s attracted to you as you are.

Thank you :) I think I'm going for it!
