AIBU to wish M & S would bring back their chilli and cheese hot cross buns?

I loved these and checked again for them this year. Just a cheese one though, which obviously they can keep.

I invented an amazing combo - one of these with Frazzles inside, like a bacon sandwich but much lazier and more delicious.

Waitrose have some that look very similar

Yes, yup, yeppers! I have been eyeing the baked goods aisle in every shop since the Xmas stuff went away searching for chilli cheese hot cross buns.

I run a food bank which takes in a lot of supermarket “surplus”. In March through about June 2020 were were inundated with these fuckers. I remember doing an M&S pick up one afternoon and filling the boot, rear seats and passenger side of my mid-size sedan with them.

Basically, I don’t think many people share your sentiments OP .

Interesting! Never heard of those. I like spicy food but never thought about chilli in a hot cross bun before. How spicy were they?

In December think we managed 3 boxes of quality street so by the time Xmas came didn’t want any. Can see Easter is going the same way - on my second 6 pack of hot cross buns already.

If they do, I am buying a ton and filling up the freezer so I can have them all year round!

Not that spicy just a nice warming effect, if you have a co op near you that do fresh bread then they do a Jalepeno and cheddar fresh baked loaf which is a very similar flavour but with a crusty top. Also very good stuff and makes the best cheese on toast or bacon sandwich.

No but they used to do a cream cheese filling and the bastards discontinued them around 5 years ago

About a week before Easter I would welcome them.
