I know this is just a part of bigger NHS problems, but it's a frustrating wait, having waited 7 weeks and not even having an appointment date yet 😩 I had three months of bleeding (during which I got the referral to colposcopy), which then stopped for 3 weeks but started again and I am currently on day 12 of my 'period'. Most days aren't that heavy and the GP thinks its just due to a cervical erosion but it's very tiresome, especially as I am wanting to TTC

Don't lose hope! 5 weeks ago I had an ultrasound scan which shows a 5cm endometrioma/dermoid. I was told there's a 6 month wait list to see a gynaecologist! Yesterday I happened to go to my GP (need to go on the mini pill as my periods are mega heavy) and he advised me that the gynaecology clinic will have a cancellations list. I was extremely fortunate to get an appointment the same day! I still can't believe it! Please just keep calling the gynaecology clinic and don't let them fob you off. They do have cancellation slots.
I've also taken out Benenden healthcare insurance just incase the wait list for surgery is too long a wait. I feel as though us women have to suffer so much without being taken seriously.
