So to summarise I had baby #3 four months ago, I've had four pregnancies in just over 5 years, all c section deliveries. I'm also currently overweight so I'm left with a remarkable pooch 😔 I'm working on losing weight but I want to feel better now in how I look. I've just ditched all my mat clothes to draw a line under my pregnancies days (no more for us!) and basically want to move on with the next stage of our lives. The goal is to be healthy, so I can play with my kids as much as possible, but be confident in who I am as a mum.

Pre pregnancy days I was a smaller size 12. Lived in jeggings. Now it's really not an option, because I know i don't look good and it's really not comfortable either. I'd say I'm a 16-18 in trousers with solid calves and a big bum/thighs. 12-14 on top but have always had big biceps (whether I've been fit or wobbly!) So struggle with some tight arm sleeves. Great huh 😂

I want a new wardrobe whilst I work on slimming down. What do I need to buy?

I'm not sure if these will fit your new look wardrobe but I found Seraphine compression leggings amazingly flattering and very supportive after my section and 3 stone weight gain. I had the black ones, very thick so no granny pants flashing out. Bought some lovely sweatshirt jumpers, long t-shirts and I felt great. Would even dare to say I looked almost trendy in a Tiktok mum kinda way 😄. As I've started losing the weight I bought some River Island skinny jeans in a 14 and paired them with ankle boots and big knitted jumpers from H&M. For dresses I have went with wrap dresses from H&M and Hush. O and most importantly I bought some decent undies. Got sized for a set of new bras and bought some amazing shapewear Knickers from M&S (no weird sticky silicone bits just stretchy fabric that holds my pouch in tight)

It's exhausting isn't it starting from scratch?! Good luck!

Hey OP why no jeggings? I find them comfortable after sections and they are really flattering, pulling in in all the right places 😆 They make me feel more put together than wearing leggings but I also wear those too.
