Mine at school (from around 12 or 13) was "Bambi" and people I'm still friends with from back then still call me this 20 years later!

Apparently I looked like Bambi (but not with 4 legs, before anyone asks).

Yes! "Woo Woo" such a term of endearment x

Cute!

Realise this may be a bit too "outing" for some. I didn't grow up in the UK, so I have never been Bambi here 😉

My grandfather was given a nickname when he was a baby. He was still known by that name when he died - 92 years later.

Not me but my mate friend has been called arms (because he had long arms) since he was 7. He's now 40

Haha. On a similar note, I was Bambi because my legs looked too long for the rest of my body after a growth spurt (and I had tilty brown eyes and Bambi-coloured hair). I now have - I think - fairly normal length legs!

My aunt gave me a nickname when I was 4 and most people, including my parents, call me it now at 39.

Not me but had a friend who was nick named Alfie (after a then famous actor) at school and still signs Christmas cards as Alf many years later.

When I was small I used to help my grandad on his allotment. He nicknamed me Digger and it stuck.

YEARS later, I bumped into him and his wife (I was late 20s) and she shouted in the pub oh Look its Digger!

Mortified.

When I was born my DMs side of the family called me Buttons cause my nose looked like a button when I was a baby. 50+ years later they still call me that even tho my nose does not look like a button anymore 😂
