Getting my hair done about two months ago, my hairdresser pointed out a lump on my skull at the back, just where my head joins my neck. I mentioned it to my physio (who gives me sports massages too) and she said she'd also noticed it. A few weeks later, I thought it was getting larger and my then my physio said the same so I went to the GP.
I saw the GP this morning and she said she doesn't know what it is. It appears to be made of bone and is attached to the skull - it's not mobile or squishy and it's quite large and getting larger. It doesn't hurt or itch or burn or do anything else and it's only on one side. The GP referred me for an ultrasound.
Over the past 18 months, I have had odd symptoms like headaches, dizziness, fainting, blurred vision, tinnitus but I've been pregnant (a rough pregnancy) and had covid - so nothing has been "normal" but no idea if anything is related.
From googling (always dangerous, of course), the only thing I can find that matches what it could be is a skull base tumour. Does anyone know what that would mean? Or does anyone know of anything else it could be?
