Received an email from school saying they don’t know if they’ll open during the proposed strikes and are trying to plan. But surely that's the whole point of strike action - heads can’t plan! And cover staff shouldn’t be used, hence the default is to close. FWIW I fully support the teaching community taking action. Wouldn’t it just be easier for the head to take a call now, so parents can plan? If the school does open, there’s bound to be a backlash from those who do strike against strikebreaking colleagues… Aware that the DfE guidelines are a load of contradictory rubbish so not much help for anyone there either.
