Missing in action it seems as though considering a lot of chats about him in the media

I liked him until that incident at the BBC.

He’s laying low after being a c*nt

Even if you aren’t. A Megan fan his comments were disgusting

Menora · 17/01/2023 22:47

Early retirement for Jeremy. 👍🏻

Personally, I would never call anyone a "C.." IRL or on the net but he was silly re the BBC fiasco.

Re Harry & family - never read anything about them

I cant stand Megan and cant stand JC but he was bang out of order and hope he is cancelled

im more annoyed he apologised he should have owned it not bow down because of the reaction

StuckInTheUpsideDown · 17/01/2023 22:57

He had a column in the Sunday Times just this weekend. Which is hardly what I would call missing tbh.

You mean his mouth, lol.

IMO, JC got carried away with his own BS and those around him were too scare to rein him in

TBH, I watched top gear not because of the cars but the nonsense he spouted and sorry to say I did find him funny in a pathetic way, that is until the incident

Having said that, I do like to see him talk tripe on tv at times.

Sorry darling, not everyone reads the "times." I'm The Guardian, Daily Mail and Metro fan

Early retirement for Jeremy. 👍🏻

Given that he's 62 and worth millions, it isn't exactly an early retirement. In any case, they haven't sacked him, they just aren't renewing the contract in 2024 - more because he doesn't make enough money in the American market.

But the “times” (or The Times, as normal people would say) is the publication he writes for on a regular basis, so it’s where you’d expect to see his output

SoShallINever · 17/01/2023 23:22

He is a disgrace and shouldn't be given air space.

6ft1minimum · 17/01/2023 23:29

He has controversial opinions but he isn't wrong about MM. He's not afraid to say it how it is. He isn't going anywhere.

With a bit of luck.

darling?Hmm Are you JC?

He can express that opinion perfectly well without being so foul, misogynistic and shaming. He’s really shown himself up badly in this instance.

PersonaNonGarter · 18/01/2023 00:16

He’s done the apologising. Now he’ll stay quiet.

JC will never be out of work if he wants to work. It’s pretty hard to cancel someone like that.

ConfusedNT · 18/01/2023 00:19

I'm very tired and I have poor eyesight, which is the reason I opened this thread thinking it said Jeremy Corbyn was MIA and I wondered what he had done that the second post in was calling him a cunt 😂

Menora · 18/01/2023 10:02

I don’t understand how writing unpleasant, cruel, nasty things is ‘saying it how it is’
Surely you can say what you want without being a huge prick about it?

SeenAndNot · 18/01/2023 10:04

I don’t like MM.

What he said about her was vile. He should be taken off air for it.

WandaWonder · 18/01/2023 10:05

Not sure about him but when celebrities are not seen on tv or in the media, as in the public eye they are considered in hiding, being a recluse or whatever

Whether people like him or not I presume they have lives away from the 'camera' no matter what they have done or not

Dotjones · 18/01/2023 10:30

My understanding is that is contract with Amazon isn't being renewed although his existing contract will remain so he'll be producing stuff for another year or two. His ITV contract hasn't been affected yet.

To be fair I don't get the fuss about the Meghan thing, he was just making a jokey comment referencing the famous scene in Game of Thrones where the evil bitch queen lady is forced to walk naked through the streets getting a bit of abuse and having stuff chucked at her, a "walk of atonement" I think they called it - basically a way of apologising and paying for your past actions.

Oysterbabe · 18/01/2023 10:34

Didn't he post a huge apology 2 days ago?

Sparklingbrook · 18/01/2023 10:35

He’s about to become a Grandfather for the first time, might be a good time to have a break. If his daughter is still speaking to him, she was not happy with what he said.

He sent one to H&M on Christmas Day but they didn’t like it.

You have a point but in JC's case, he is not a shy person and one would have expected him to come out fighting on twitter etc - correct me if i am wrong, has his twitter account not gone very quiet?

I loved JC until the incident at the BBC

I have no time for William & Co as most families have their problems but to air them like that and non-stop is not nice

What I will say re JC, he apologised and IMO people should accpet but we are all different. By accepting the apology, it does not mean we are friends but it means we move on.

OP posts:
Blossomtoes · 18/01/2023 10:39

I don’t think he can be arsed to engage in a Twitter fight. Life’s too short when you’re 62.
