...to skip my morning meetings?

I am contracted to start work at 8am. Morning meeting is at ten to. I don't get overtime for attending the meetings. I never have anything to say at the meetings and I have handed in my notice and am leaving at the beginning of February.

Aibu to skip the meetings? I honestly just want the extra ten minutes so I'm not sprinting to work after getting DCs up and dressed for school.

And should I tell them I'm not planning to go to them? They've never said they're essential tbf, so possibly I was being a bit keen going all the time and my line manager frequently misses them due to traffic (she has a long commute)

Just send an email to the organiser “apologies, I am unable to attend the next 5 (or whatever) team meetings”. If challenged (unlikely) say childcare and travel.

Don't get paid for them don't go, are they willing to let you go 10 minutes early daily to make up for what you've put in?

BudgetBeatrice · 16/01/2023 20:12

Ha! Nope. I don't usually get off on time tbh

absolutely fine but they used to nip out take personal phone calls and could nip for cig all that stopped

tbh your leaving soon upto you but do you ever nip for a drink take a phone call and spend 100% of work time working

I don't smoke and even if I did, I don't get a single break the entire time I'm at work as I finish at 12.30.
