To think getting with a good friends ex wife is crossing a line

Just that really, what are others thoughts on this? when a guy has been long time friends with a mate and is now seeing his ex-wife, kids between the exes.
Isnt it a bit icky to go with your mates ex?
I thought there was some sort of unwritten rule.

I think you'd ask the mate first

Depends. My DH’s best friend is married to DH’s ex (they weren’t married and no DCs though). The best friend and the ex are godparents to DS and DH was best man at their wedding, DS was page boy. Each to their own.

On the face of it, it seems weird but it really doesn’t when you know the people involved and how they interact. I completely forget she’s his ex until it comes up.

In theory, I definitely find it icky but I’ve seen it in practice so I wouldn’t judge it too harshly.
