If I’m paying £5 for delivery I really don’t expect the driver to ring me and tell me to come outside and collect it from him.

I live on an ordinary street where the house is easy to find.

Were was he? If he was outside your door I don't see a problem?

Do you have to collect it from the car?

I would say “No, I’d like it delivered please!” and hang up.
