Don't know if piece of tampon broke in me

Sorry I'm posting here for traffic. But earlier when I took my tampon out it wasn't ready and I really had to pull it (it had been really heavy previously and needed to change often). There was a lot of resistance and when it came out it looked slightly frayed and the outer part was torn.
I had a feel 😳 and there was some cotton/stingy bit outside my vagina but I can't tell if there's anymore still inside and I don't know what to do. I'm panicking about TSS and infections etc

I don’t think tampons really break like that - worst case scenario you have a few fibres up there. A bath and/or spray with a showerhead should wash them out, your vagina is a dead end so they aren’t going to get lost up there. And you aren’t going to get TSS from a couple of stray cotton fibres.

Tampons do break like that. It happened to me years ago, only I didn't realise until I had a constant horrible black discharge with a foul smell and had no idea why. First thing doctor said was do I use tampons or sanitary towels, he knew straight away what it was. Was only a small part of it and it wasn't even from tugging it out, it just broke inside me. So look out for any unusual discharge/smell, if you don't have those, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thanks change currently lying in the bath I'm a major worrier so probably shouldn't have even be using tampons in the first place 🙈

This is a tad gross, but honestly, get your hand in there and have a good rootle about. If there is anything left, hoick it out.
I know it's ewwwww but it's not difficult, just a bit icky.

Pom that's what I've been doing lol but my cervix is high up and I can't seem to reach fully (god I'm mortified)
