To ask you to remind your kids about choking with bubble tea

She is fine but my daughter choked on bubble tea today. Blue lips, barely wheezing, dribbling etc. She is now complaining of a sore throat and a sore back where I had to hit her several times.

I know it's obvious but I see lots of children not paying attention as they are drinking them. Please ask your kids to be careful as they are drinking lumps through straws.

I've always wondered this with bubble tea. It seems inevitable to choke on it. I don't understand how it's meant to be drunk

You poor thing and your daughter, hope you are both ok. Choking is terrifying x

You’re supposed to suck the tea into your mouth and chew the bubble before swallowing. However it’s easy enough to accidentally gulp it all down with the bead still whole, esp for children and then there’s more chance of chocking.
