Would to pop out if your child was happy watching some tv whilst her dad is asleep upstairs?

I probably would yeah.. obv if you're quick!

bloodywhitecat · 07/01/2023 07:32

Yes but I would rouse the sleeping person to let them know I was going out.

SmileWithADimple · 07/01/2023 07:33

I would, yes.

Sukisal · 07/01/2023 07:34

Yes I would, and have done. Now she’s 9.5 I do reasonably frequently. I always let my husband know I’m going out, as he then has sort of half an ear out. She’s a sensible kid and we have a small ish house.

At that age my DS1 would wake before the rest of us and go downstairs on his own. So I see no issue with it personally. Just let DD know that if there's a problem she goes up to DH.

BendingSpoons · 07/01/2023 07:36

Yes. I'd tell my DC to wake dad if they needed. My 6yo and 3yo went downstairs to watch TV. I heard them and went back to sleep and have just woken.

TheMagicSword · 07/01/2023 07:37

Yes, if it was going to be a brief thing - either his alarm due to go off shortly or I was popping to a shop. Not if he was in the middle of a full sleep and I was going to be a couple of hours.

Of course already I'd tell the sleeping person I was going out. I done it a few times but left dd with water to drink. She knows daddy is there.

Yes.
