Would you keep someone on who has been accused of stealing?

A friend of a friend (A) recommended a mother's help to me (B). B came to help out a couple of times, seems good, the plan was to arrange something more regular in the new year. But A messaged me to say that she is now letting B go as she suspects her of stealing (but is not completely sure). Wwyd in this situation? Bear in mind I don't know either A or B very well.

YABU = there's no smoke without fire, don't take the risk, tell B you don't need her any more
YANBU = innocent till proven guilty, give B the benefit of the doubt

I wouldn't want to get involved so I'd find somebody else independently

Trouble is they are like gold dust round here, we've failed to find one for a year till this point. Should have mentioned that in OP sorry!
