To not understand the obsession with jelly cats

Especially adults collecting them

With any collectable you'll always find relatively small numbers of people who take it to what you'd call an obsession. It can be a little disconcerting if you accidentally stumble across one of their online communities, but lots are very kind and supportive and have people who really go out of their way to do things for each other (like tracking down a rare thingamajig).

Some people like to collect things, some don't. For most people it's just something that gives them entertainment or satisfaction, often with a community/social side.

Jelly cats specifically are quite cute, decent quality, fairly inexpensive, easy to get hold of (mostly) and have some rarer/limited editions. I don't collect them, but I can see why people do.
