To think the RAC just won’t come?

I have had 3 breakdowns in just under a year.

The second one was a result of the first one not being addressed at the garage so happened immediately after. I got it sorted properly and not quite a year later I have a battery issue non start.
A simple jump and go problem if a mechanic attended but for the 3rd time I have been left for ages and then eventually been told to leave the vehicle and get a taxi home.

So before I write them off as unable to provide the service I pay them for can anyone tell me they have better experiences?

We’re supposed to be priority users guaranteed attendance in 90mins but so far been left for 13 hours, then 7hrs then today I gave up after 4 as I can see the pattern emerging and was close enough to get a taxi home and come back tomorrow

How long will they leave me tomorrow?

I had to cancel the job and will need to call again in the morning as apparently you can’t book for tomorrow

You need to be very sure what you contract provides. Read it. If they have not met the contract then seek legal advice. Don't minimise what the contract was. If they breached it then take legal action. Don't be fobbed off.

They weren't great for me - i thought 9 hrs was bad from calling them at 6pm and being towed home, 30 miles away at 3am

First, they towed me in the opposite direction to wait for a tow truck who had to literally drive an extra 40 miles to get me and then drive me back past where I had been stranded earlier. The icing on the cake was waiting at 11pm for the tow truck, being told it was there for me, then finding out they hadn't even ordered it. 9 hours from calling to finish for me

Why are you with the RAC? I know it won’t help you this time but either add on to your car insurance or bank account. I’ve never waited for more than an hour or so for recovery as the independent rescue service seems to work more quickly and is generally less expensive.

I've only had good experiences with much shorter waits than originally told so may be geographic? In am in London
