To think being snuggled under a blanket can raise body temp as high as 37.8?

Just that really. DD (6) insists on snuggling under a blanket when watching TV. She generally is warm, her normal body temp can vary 37-37.5. A few times when under the blanket she's seemed warm so I've took her temp and it's been 37.8 (once it was 38!) Anyone else had this? Can a temp of 37.8-38 really just be from a blanket and not a virus?

Yes it can cause your temperature to go up. That's why when you are ill with a temp you take a layer off.
