Periods all over the place after laparoscopy

Not sure where to post this.

I had a laparoscopy and a hysteroscopy early November.
I had my first period the day after (this was expected), then my second period was a few days late.

I'm now on my third period which seems to have arrived 8 days early!

Is this likely to be due to my surgeries? Can these surgeries send your cycle a bit dodgy after? I wasn't told to expect anything so it's really worrying me.

I had a small ovarian cyst removed and adhesions removed. No endometriosis.

I'm also trying to conceive :(

Any experiences would be much appreciated, thank you

What’s your normal cycle length?

shrekshusband · 31/12/2022 13:54

@Jazz12

it ranges from 29-34 days. It's difficult as I tend to have 5-7 days of spotting prior to the period - my doctor has said this isn't of any concern and obviously the surgeries haven't found any reason for this. ☹️

@shrekshusband Not sure if you’re still about?

Im having a similar issue, I had a hysteroscopy to remove adhesions mid October, I was given HRT to take for 6 weeks, once I’d finished the tablets my period came within days and now 2 weeks later I seem to be having another period.

What was the outcome with you? Did things return to normal?
