I wish I could live at Bluey’s house, this one is a bit boring

Dd, 4 said this to Dh earlier.

Today, I played with her upstairs in the morning for almost two hours..tickling, chasing, playing with the dog etc. We took her to the beach with the dog. She built houses with sticks with Dh and threw the ball to the dog to swim in the sea.
In the afternoon, we listened to music and danced around the living room, watched a Garfield film with a box of chocolates. When Dh came home, he played bowling with her.
I started to make dinner and he was making the fire, that’s when she said the above?!
Do we not do/play enough? 🙈
I know kids say all sorts, but she actually said it in quite a sad way.

Blueys house does look awesome. Wish I could live there too!

You've done loads with your DD. More than I've done with my 5yr old today.
Don't read too much into it.

We were very "Chilli and Bandit like" this afternoon, went for a long walk along the very windy seafront and gave the DC a lot of piggy back rides while making robot noises...I'm exhausted now! Chilli and Bandit must collapse into bed every night at 9pm.

She is reacting to that moment in time when both of you were both busy with something other than her😂 You are reading too much into it. Maybe start encouraging her to entertain herself, when mum and dad are busy. It's a good skill to start learning.

@Girasoli They're amazing!

She always asks Dh for piggy backs or to go on his shoulders, he does sometimes but often complains of a bad back and I never do it 😬I do so much baking, reading, crafts etc…but it’s the other stuff she must want
Feel shit!

My mum asked my 5 year old niece today if she would look after her nana in old age (my mum). 5 year old replied. No because you will be dead Xmas Grin
