It's me again, hope everyone had a good Christmas or survived it.
Sorry I keep posting here, this board was my wife's favourite.
So I took all advice on board in regards to our son eating too much processed crap.
Over the Christmas period of day and boxing day he ate very well, lots of veg at both my parents and my inlaws.
I went to the shops to get as much food as I could (pay day is only 30000 days to go it feels like lol) and the past few days this is what he's been eating.
Breakfast: weetabix with banana or rice crispies with toast with the usual scrape of marmite as its barely there.
Lunch: a pile of vegetables and fruit with rice cake and some ham or cheese. Today he had couscous, cucumber, peppers and carrot with some pineapple slices.
Dinner: he didn't eat much toast this morning and it needs to be used up so he's got scrambled egg with cheese and toast. I need to use up the petit filous before I buy plain yoghurt.

I'm hoping that's an improvement any more advice is welcome. Happy New Year.

Sounds like he's got a good diet 😊 as long as he's getting enough fruit and veg some crap won't do any harm x

Thank you 😊 if you saw my original thread it was pretty bad once I'd seen it typed out.

My toddler has eaten so much junk/party food over the past few days as we have as it's Christmas 🤷‍♀️

It’s a lot healthier than what my children have been eating this week! Well done

Sounds fab! I commented on your previous post. Glad to see you are embracing the challenge. Your son seems to be eating very well too, a good range for a small person.

Some other ideas whilst they come to mind (not sure if anyone mentioned them before) - low / reduced sugar baked beans are a good store cupboard option for an easy meal. Can combine with lots of things like egg, toast, baked potato, meat etc. Also pesto pasta with peas/sweetcorn/other veg, can be combined with a piece of salmon (pan fry or oven bake). With the pesto, buy a jar, and after you use it once, freeze the rest into ice cube trays so the jar doesn't go mouldy. You can quickly defrost as needed in the microwave (v low heat) or take it out and keep in the fridge the night / morning before. My kids love these meals and they are relatively quick and easy to do.

Thank you 😊 I'm trying to eat better too. Have a thing about textures with food.
He's having peanut butter with veggies and fruit for lunch and mac and cheese with frozen veg mixed in for dinner.
He had rolled oats with some frozen fruit and a bit of honey for breakfast.
I just keep reminding myself to do it for him and my wife and not because I'm tired.

Thank you 😊 I'm doing my best. I admit when I'm working the telly is parenting him but I try to read at least one book with him. I'm lucky that he plays well on his own and can make his own games. Telly is more so he stays in one place if I need to be on the phone. Still, that's a me problem and I can't afford to stop working and my job has been extremely accommodating and understanding.
Wife's birthday and Christmas were painful. Saw on her half sisters Instagram that their birth mother had made amends and bonding with her child. Was angry that she made an effort to go all the way from Doncaster to Portsmouth but couldn't ever be arsed with my wife or her other grandchild.
But oh well another me problem I guess.

You are doing great, glad to see it’s going so well!

You can’t control other peoples behaviour so just ignore anyone not bringing anything good to the table.
