And show off/announce it are an entire breed of sad acts?

For example, someone I follow on Instagram just did a story showing she carries around a fake car key that can be broken apart and has a secret compartment and she said “just for my prescription medication” whilst winking at the camera.

I worked with someone who had a “secret” Instagram account where they just posted photos of them doing drugs.

I just find it so cringeworthy. I don’t particularly give a shit about anyone doing drugs but it’s the fact of some people desperately needing others to know they do it to be seen as “cool”.

Well yeah, but Instagram over a certain age and following those types of accounts is cringeworthy in itself anyway so...

How bizarre, I know plenty of people who do drugs, and they all actively keep it off social media entirely, if it got back to their places of work they’d be in huge bother.

I know a few people like that, mid thirties- old enough to know better. it’s desperately cringe.

Social media can be used at any age - I’m not ageist thankfully.

I unfollowed said car key woman and the work one was a suggested follower.

Also MN is a form of social media, so maybe do yourself a favour and log off?

Please do share what age you are supposed to give up Instagram? Only nobody told me and I use it when I’m nearly sixty, is it forbidden?
