I want to have tear trough fillers done - have a look at this procedure

MoggyMittens23 · 28/12/2022 22:00

Lower blepharoplasty? I had an upper one done

Dontsayyouloveme · 28/12/2022 22:02

I’m not sure year troughs would work in your case. I think it’s when you eyes are sunken and hollow that fillers would work. You prob need a lower blepharoplasty tbh .

Suzi888 · 28/12/2022 22:12

If you want it and can afford it go for it. I think you’ve zoomed in though, how old are you… if you go ahead see a qualified surgeon and see what they say.

Notimeforaname · 28/12/2022 22:16

Blepharoplasty

Ch3wylemon · 28/12/2022 22:25

It might be worth trying retinols first.

You could also consider fillers with a proper - medically qualified - aesthetic practitioner. Building up your cheeks very slightly gives you scaffolding and reduces the bag effect. If it were me I would rather do that than surgery.

Remember too that fillers are dissolvable. Find a good practitioner who uses quality products and perhaps see what they recommend.

DeFacto · 28/12/2022 22:30

No. Not tear troughs. Retinol. Or any other buggery.

If you are that bothered. That's a surgery job.

IF you are that bothered.

You would probably have a very good result from a decent consult and work.

If. YOU. ARE. THAT. BOTHERED.

There's nothing that says you have to be.

Pinetreesfall · 28/12/2022 22:40

@Greenshake it's bloody painful. It brought tears to my eyes! However it was done brilliantly with no bruising and looks great by blimey ouch!

Greenshake · 28/12/2022 23:29

Oh God really? I am going to book a consultation and have absolutely no idea what to expect.

Ch3wylemon · 29/12/2022 09:25

Do ask your practitioner about cheek fillers before having your tear troughs done - I'm not an aesthetic's practitioner but have heard a colleague explain that having the right scaffolding in your cheeks first gives a better base and looks more natural.

I think the key is to talk to someone properly qualified!

MrsFinkelstein · 29/12/2022 09:28

Lower blepheroplasty would give you a better, permanent result.
I would research surgeons and get a consultation if you felt you really needed something done.
Fillers or anything else just won't give you the result you seem to be looking for.

So I’ve been to two surgeons who said upper eye surgery… so I’m a bit confused. One was in real life about 6 years ago and than 3 years ago, asked my Botox lady and also thay website online whereby surgeons give recommendations.

I’d ask about sorting those black lines first tbh

Spaghetti201 · 31/12/2022 00:11

What’s your diet like? I find my black bags diminish the healthier I eat (salads etc) and drinking more water.
