It’s like Love Actually…and not in a good way.

WhatToLookFor · 26/12/2022 08:19

I found a receipt a few weeks ago for jewellery on my husband’s card. Christmas has come and gone and the jewellery hasn’t arrived.

I am worried he may have bought it for another woman.

He has form for messaging other women and always deletes the messages, usually as they come in so I’m not sure how I’d find anything. I want to confront him with as much as possible because I need to know the truth.

What am I looking for? Where do I look?

and yes I know IABU posting here, but I need the traffic as I want to approach today.

And why do you love him?

Security, shared history, respect...what aspects of the relationship would be lost?

It's not trust tho, is it?

FeedMeTiramisu · 26/12/2022 10:06

Could it be something he ordered and paid for online for delivery but hasnt arrived yet because of postal issues?

kingtamponthefurred · 26/12/2022 10:11

Ask him. He may or may not tell the truth but his reaction will probably tell you what you need to know.

CoffeeBoy · 26/12/2022 10:12

Problem is is that he will come out with an excuse. If he hasn’t given it to her yet he will hurriedly give it to you. Otherwise he will blame it on post strikes.

And then buy another item and give it to you in a few days.

How is ANYTHING about Love Actually good?

Otterock · 26/12/2022 10:22

Could it just be delayed in the post? I had a few things take over a week to arrive this month

AccidentallyRunToWindsor · 26/12/2022 10:30

LTB if you try and address it he will gaslight you into thinking it's your issue not his (I speak from experience) you know he has form for this, don't entertain his crap anymore

Although......

I just came back from holiday with the wife, so we are having our Christmas today. And she recalled how I bought a set of earrings for her several months ago. They've somehow gotten lost (probably on the back of the wardrobe!)...

...so the absence of jewellery does not ALWAYS mean its been reallocated!

Watch and listen. Don’t let him know you’re suspicious. If he’s up to no good, you’ll find solid proof soon enough.

Its still really shit of him OP 💐
