Got second turkey - free to a local person Cranbrook in Kent

I was sent a lovely large bronze turkey by Dukeshill last night in error . It should have been a ham and I already had a turkey. It seems a waste to not use it, I have no space in freezer.
Would anyone find it useful - pick up today. Apologies for using AIBU but O needed traffic. Merry Christmas all !

What a kind thing to do.

Not local to you and don't need a turkey. But bumping this for you as I'm sure there will be someone massively appreciative out there.

If you dont find anyone on here, can I suggest posting it on nextdoor or olio, both local apps and im sure you'll find someone on one of them! Olio in particular has a section to give away food locally :)

Could your local homeless shelter take it?

Renovated · 24/12/2022 12:44

Yes please if it’s still available

SomeCommonThing · 24/12/2022 12:48

I am fairly local but not in need of a turkey, what a lovely gesture.
Should the poster above not have it, I'd recommend olio aswell. People locally are quite active on there it seems.

The community fridge in Staplehurst is closed now for Christmas unfortunately, however a local church may take it and know someone in need.

Thanks all for good suggestions - especially the community fridge in Staplehurst which I did try

  • the turkey has found a local home. Pleased to assist and avoid waste
