In the same boat. Lots of medicine, paracetamol and lemsip.

Same boat here too. Going to drink my own weight in orange juice today and take a sleeping tablet tonight (although a bit worried if I still can't sleep through the coughing and shivering after that I'm just going to feel groggy and worse). Going to be gutted if I don't feel well tomorrow had the perfect Christmas planned 😞

Honey and Lemon in hot water
Lots of water

DD just brought me back a ginger shot from the shop but I have only managed 2 sips and it nearly melted my tongue!!

Are you able to rest - that's the secret really but easier said then done. Hope you feel better soon.

We need tips too! We’ve all had it since last Sunday. Poor baby has it worst today.

We missed all the lovely plans all week but I’d love to be be able to have lunch at our favourite pub and then go to the village crib service tomorrow.

we need to try and get healthy today!

I've been mainlining paracetamol, lots of hot drinks and soft foods. Steamed my head last night which helped.
I'm currently painting the living room which I'm enjoying keeping me busy but a simple menial task.

Been in the same boat since Saturday. Its horrible. Night nurse is great, if your having trouble sleeping. Take it fairly early tho 8.30/9pm otherwise it leaves you feeling groggy the next day.

Other than that, just rest, maybe a Lemsip or paracetamol. Honey & lemon.

So many people seam to have this atm. I'm so behind with Christmas prep as just have no energy.

Hope you get well soon

I've had it since a week past Wednesday. Still totally floored.
I was meant to be going to my bestie in London for Christmas, but that's not happening now.
I've also got a chest infection and the most horrendous cough. I was coughing so much last night l kept vomiting, got no sleep at all until 6.30 this morning. Nothing stops it. I've drunk literally gallons of water to try and stay hydrated.
I have antibiotics for it and they're playing merry hell with my digestion.
On the plus (for me) side, l've had no appetite at all. Up until Wednesday, l'd lost 8lb. Likely more now.
It took 9 days of Cocodamol (l have it on prescription for my arthritis) and lbuprofen 4 x a day to shift the fever and headache. Still keep getting hot and cold flushes.
I don't think this is something you can 'get rid of' in a few days. It's a very long time since l can remember being this ill.
Christmas is cancelled here.
