to ask for cheapest poop stain recommendations?

My ds had diarrhoea and pooped in the bed and it went through the sheets and mattress protector. I cleaned the mattress with napisan and it looks ok relatively speaking but I put the mattress protector and sheet on a 40 degree wash with Vanish oxi action and Daz in the wash. The stain is still very much on the sheet and mattress protector. It's yellow.
Is there anything that will remove the yellow stain?

Is everything white? Try soaking in diluted bleach?

Hang it out in bright sunlight for a day. You might have to wait for clear sky day.

Sunlight works the best (not really the season for it). It will also fade. I used to use napisan and vanish stain bar - wash and then hang outside.

Dr Beckmann fat / oil stain remover might be the way forward? Or napisan, but only for whites

FTM2022SS · 21/12/2022 17:07

Napisan! Amazing!

megletthesecond · 21/12/2022 17:08

Sunlight.

You need to soak it in a stain remover in cool or luke warm water, then wash it as usual. Try Vanish again overnight then wash it. Don't use bleach, it's so bad for the environment.

I'd personally just bin and get new ones unless they're particularly expensive or luxurious. Usually I give stained stuff to my DH to use as rags in the garage so at least they're getting recycled that way.

Another vote for Napisan and sunlight

Sunlight definitely. It is almost miraculous.

Soda Crystals :)

Napisan, sunlight, and ace for whites (providing they are white to begin with) are all good options. Oh and I know it should go without saying but not all at the same time.

I'm in England. Sunlight is not a thing right now.

Soak in tepid water with soda crystals...
Hot water will fix a stain so cool is always best for soaking.
Or a paste made up of any vanish type powder/water and rubbed into both sides of stain for 30 mins or so.

Then wash at least 60°.
Soda crystals can also be used in the washing machine if a soak can't be done.

I'm all for eco friendly now but, for me personally all bedding/towels and under clothes are washed at 60
