I support extra resources for the NHS and emergency services. Really can't decide whether I support the strike.

what the point of striking in general?

It raises awareness
It impacts on your employer if they lose money so not very helpful in this situation
It MAY get the public on your side and pressuring their mps
The striking employees lose money but get some time off work.

I can see the point in sales staff or production workers striking, their employer can be pretty much forced into agreement because it's cheaper than the business being closed but in this case that isn't really happening.

YANBU

It so necessary and the service is in dire need of staff and funding

I work along side them on a daily basis and this is simply a last resort because it can not go on

Strikes are the only way to make the government listen-
Certain services such as the police are not allowed to strike - these strikes are a last resort
