Snow is rapidly that wig here, and all sorts of nasties are appearing.
I was out in the garden clearing up the dog poo I'd missed during the Great Freeze - no matter how vigilant I am in picking up after them, I am always shocked to find how much I have missed.
Then - worse.
I just happened to glance at one of our cats' favourite lurking spots and it was carpeted with the defrosting corpses of small creatures. There were loads of them. It looked like a rodentine version of the railway scene from Gone With The Wind.
Clearing them up was one of the saddest, and most disgusting, things I've ever had to do. I has shocked me how much they manage to slaughter in a week. Normally I am picking up one or two and the full horror hadn't hit me until today.
Last.
Outdoor.
Cats.
EVER!
