Haven't had hot water for 3 days

Dad is on holiday until tomorrow but once he's back I can finally go and shower at his! There's a burst water main near me and I had a text alert the same day my hot water stopped. What are the chances that a burst water main would have caused no hot water (as well as low pressure)? Tried calling the local water supplier but their phone lines were are with a wait of over an hour. Will try again today. I need a proper wash 😅

With a burst main, they will want to minimise water going through the impacted area so that a) it doesn't make the issue worse and b) they can work on it safely.

Do you have any water at all?

Sometimes I just have a trickle and others I have very low pressure so water is flowing through. This morning I have almost nothing. I initially thought it was due to frozen pipes but went through all the steps of unfreezing and it was still the same.

It's not ideal but if you have some water coming through can't you boil some kettles and have a shallow bath?

What sort of boiler do you have?
A water main would affect your incoming cold water supply but I don't see how it would affect your hot water as that's provided by your boiler. Does your boiler heat your house too?

Unless it's something to do with poor water pressure? Boil the kettle or a pot of water for hot water

We had no hot water the other day, just frozen condensation pipe- have you checked that? and reset your boiler? I filled a larger IKEA trofast tray with 4 kettles of hot water and topped up cold water, stood in it and used a jug to pour water over myself, quick wash with shower gel and then rinse off with the jug. Short but effective. I didn’t wash my hair but my body felt clean.
