It's a bit obsessive. Regular pictures of the family, pictures of their family photos, the Harry and Meghan story, going to events,

It is like the Truman Show.

What would they be doing and covering if they didn't have the Royal Family and its saga to write about?

Possible some actual news, but I wouldn’t hold my breath as it’s the newspaper of the terminally thick (and very easily scared).

The weather , the ' Union barons' ruining the country , whatever celeb has done something wrong

Celebs of other sorts and scandals and fat shamey bikini pics, and a good dollop of tragedy and crime. Same as they do now. The royal thing is just intense just now with the Harry and Megs Truman show.

Shaming women.

The DM has gone batshit over the Meg & Haz Netflix show. It’s like watching someone have a mental breakdown on social media. Except it’s a whole publication, just spewing out hateful nonsense.

For the right wing papers, it buries political news about a failing Tory government.

I think this endless royal soap opera of over pampered, overpaid people sulking and moaning, to be beyond tedious.🙄

There are people put there with real problems, and yet on the royals all bleat.

Climate change, wars around the world, benefit scroungers...all the muck they always dredge up.

There would probably be another celebrity or public figure they'd decide to pile on.

Easy. They'd slate the unions, praise the Tories, shame women and scream about every crime committed by anyone vaguely foreign. Oh, and they'd go after any celebrities who are too woke, have gained weight or said anything in support of anyone foreign.

Other vapid celebs, there are loads.

You know there is a royal family section, right?

Migrants in boats. Woe, for we are overrun with "migrants" who are all 20 year old men yet simultaneously filling up our schools.

It's quite amazing to see.

Plus they are doing a lot of William and Kate stories.

Yep look how affectionate they are, greeting grandchildren with a kiss on each cheek and all the curtseying. Just like us really.

It’s funny how the DM fawns all over William and Kate, and never reports the story that we all know anyway…

Stories shaming women. Endless articles featuring the Beckham family, and other Z listers.
Really anything to keep the current desperate situation that this government is responsible for off the front page.

Immigrants. It would be the same cycle on repeat but minus the royal family. Some celebrities thrown in, a brilliant new gov policy which sees bankers keeping uncapped bonuses and everyone else paying more tax but somehow this is a win for 'hard working people'.

I love all these threads slagging off the Daily Mail by people who obsessively visit the site twenty times a day. For people who claim to dislike the site they always know so much about what’s happening on it.

Stories that have some interest perhaps

Aren't online papers financed by advertising and clicks? Presumambly the stories are of interest to many many readers or something else would have taken their place.

I guess not everyone is interested in the same things as you but that can't possibly be something you don't already know
