Which movies/movie's songs have impacted you as an adult

I was watching this afternoon a re-run of Cabaret. I saw the movie in my 20s and while I thought it was good, never thought of it as speciale xcept for Liza Minelli's most popular songs.

Never saw the movie again until 3-4 years ago, when I came across on YouTube one song in the movie which had a profound impact - it comprises everything that's wrong with nationalism and how it can be manipulated by politicians or dictators.

Today I think Cabaret is a masterpiece, similar to the Godfather. What about you?

By the way, the song is "Tomorrow belongs to me"

Cinema Paradiso, Babette's Feast, How Green Was My Valley.
I never saw any of these as a child, though.

p.s. I have never seen Cabaret but agree The Godfather (all parts) is superb.

The scene in Casablanca where the Nazis are singing a nationalistic song and are drowned out by the French singing La Marseilles.

12 Years A Slave. Will never forget that experience. Unusually the whole cinema audience remained in our seats until the credits had rolled, and as we walked out slowly kept looking back at the screen as if trying to fully comprehend.
