a friend invited me a few weeks ago and today told me that invite is for club members only. I never had any intention of going, and have other plans but I still feel slighted!

I’m being unreasonable right?

This is true. I think it might be the thought that the people there think that I’ll be missing out on something by not being invited 🙈

Inverse thread: "Friend has invited me to a members only party, and I don't really want to go". Likely advice given by most mumsnetters: "Then, don't go" Actual thread "I have not been invited to an event that I didn't want to go to anyway". Actual advice is the same "Then, don't go". Result !
