I have had suspected endometriosis since I was 19, a sharp, burning pain in my right side for about 11 years. The only times it disappeared was when I was pregnant, and it is there all the time but 10x worse when on my period. This year, I have noticed a lot of pain and swelling in my c section scar especially at my time of month and i have a lump just below the right side of my c section scar about the size of a grape, small bouncy ball. I really freaked out as I thought it could be something sinister and went for a private ultrasound and the obsetetrician is very sure it’s c section scar endometriosis, and said I can either have it excised or just leave it and manage it with painkillers. I haven’t decided what to do as I’d like another baby which would have to be delivered by c section and I don’t really want to have the scar opened up twice. Has anybody any experience of this and how did you manage it?
