and now the skin on my lips and inside cheeks is peeling and the top of my mouth is really sore.

My own fault for being greedy but any tips for dealing with acidic mouth burn?

I wss going to ask how your lips are 😁

You'll just have to wait and let nature take its course.

Same tip for if you have burnt the roof of your mouth with a hot drink. Get a teaspoon of sugar, put it on your tongue and press your tongue against the roof of your mouth until the sugar dissolves. Unless you are diabetic, then don’t do this.

Iamnotausername · 16/12/2022 08:51

@KloppsTeeth I will give that a try. Thank you.

Good luck, hope it works for you. I love salt and vinegar crisps as well as not drinks so have had to use this trick a few times.

Yikes! When I was pregnant I craved sour sweets and once unintentionally polished off a grab bag of Tangfastics in about ten mins. I didn't realise there would be painful consequences, hope you're not suffering for long!

Cool chamomile tea. Drink it and swill it round your mouth. Magic!

xogossipgirlxo · 16/12/2022 09:05

Just eat soft food today to prevent further irritation. And no mouthwash 😅It'll heal in no time.

Honey inside your mouth, Vaseline for your lips.

I would exfoliate the worst of it with sugar and your tounge then have milk

Gengigel mouth rinse is ace for mouth ulcers. Never tested on a Pringle wound though....

Bosk · 16/12/2022 09:33

Stick to paprika flavour in future #toptip

I've always suffered from the furry/peeling tongue with some salt & vinegar crisps, but the grab bag of Discos I ate last week gave me the crusty/peeling lips for the first time, so that was novel.

No advice here, only sympathy.

The crisps are absolutely worth it mind you...!
