I have had the time of my life on here tonight! No partner over my shoulder saying "Are you gonna be on mn all night"?. Although ds is poorly at the moment he went to bed fine and has so far stayed asleep. I have had time to devour the am I being unreasonable section most of the night. I have almost pmsl 20 times already I have tears rolling down my face still and I keep having to shut myself up. I am actually looking forward to his next night shift.
AIBU if I hide the ironing I was supposed to do tonight and do it during the day tomorrow when he's sleeping off his night shift??

Tsk, do you think I could encourage my dp out down the pub?

Guilt-free mumsnet is like drinking champagne on christmas morning, you know it should be wrong but god its good.

cool jimbobsmum
am looking forward to tomorrow as it is the start of my DH playing in the orchestra for a show for TEN nights in a row He will turn up back about 11.30pm and just be here in time to keep the bed warm! LOL

bossybritches · 01/02/2008 23:47

Jimbobsmum me too !!

I LOVE it when he's on nights -especailly at the w/ends so I can stay on here till all hours , play silly games without the kids nagging for a turn, AND get the whole bed to myseld when I DO fall into it!!!

YA most certainly NBU

My DH does permanent nights and doesn't understand how I never get to sleep before midnight...DD been asleep since 8pm, lovely. I'm sure he wouldn't even notice the lack of ironing that got done, so YANBU!

OMG just realised it's officially Saturday. I really must get to bed now. I have just been on the relationships thread still PMSL. Can't believe I only ever go to the classifieds section when DP's at home.

Another vote for the nights I plan my TV put kds to bed and basically slouch and have the bed to myself blss
I catch up on stuff when he is sleeping the next day.

I get very vexed when he comes home early unexpected as spoils my night he does 2days 2 nights then 4 days off so the nights are a cool not too many but enough lol

madamez · 02/02/2008 00:53

Haha, am single so do not have any DP grumping for conversation/sex/clean pants/sex/dinner/sex. I do however have deadlines to meet every now and again and hosuework.

fletchaaarr · 02/02/2008 00:53

Dh has moved back to living on base during the week

while I miss him, there are some things that are a boon

watch what telly I like
Double bed to myself (until dd joins me)
I don't have to cook meat every night (am not vegy but he seems to need meat on a more regular basis)

PeachesMcLean · 02/02/2008 00:56

Wales playing England at rugby tomorrow. The rules are that DH has to go out all day on the piss

I'm quite looking forward to it

Fish pie for tea (DH hates it, DS loves it)
Chocolate pudding after DS has gone to bed.
Guilt free MN.

My dh works nights, Sunday through to Friday. It is weird on a Saturday when we share the same bed.
