To think friend has a bit over invested in my love life?

Female friend that I decided to stop mentioning my dating life to - she constantly told me to break up with them or stop speaking to them. I showed her a photo of a man my friend was setting me up with and I was told I shouldn’t because he looks “arrogant” and “up himself” - she didn’t even know him. So anyway I stopped telling her anything.

I’ve just been on a trip away about a month ago and I took a photo of the hotel and she immediately messaged me asking who the man in the photo was - the man sat no where near me and I didn’t even realise I’d got him in the photo as it was night time and dark.

I also put up a photo of me and a female friend cheersing with our drinks and she asked a good 2 weeks later when I saw her who was the males hand in the photo.

She has her own relationship, she just sometimes gives the impression she’s worried that I’ll be with someone

She sounds jealous.

i lost a lot of weight and my friend is now like this where she wasn’t like it before. I agree it’s jealousy.

Hmm could be multiple things.

  1. she's a nosy Parker who loves drama
  2. she thinks a relationship will take you away from time with her
  3. she wishes she was out dating
  4. she doesnt like you getting 'attention'
  5. she is distrustful of men and doesn't want you to get hurt

A while host of possibilities. I think you're right to just not tell her about stuff and when she pries just say 'wouldn't you like to know' or 'just a friend'.
