Playing videos on phone in public

I hospital waiting room and middle aged woman scrolling through Facebook with a setting on that it plays a snippet of video with sound as she scrolls. So fucking irritating. AIBU?

It's constant on public transport in London, so selfish.

I can't bear things like this, I have to go everywhere with headphones, usually playing an audio book AND white noise. Sometimes if it's penetrating I wear earplugs as well. I used to ask people to stop it but the reaction was usually too hostile.

Nope. The worst is when people are stuck on maternity wards. Often it's the husbands / partners watching the football while their wife lays there moaning or bloody FaceTime calls cranked up so the whole ward can hear Aunty Mary giving her two pence on when she things the baby will be born

YANBU It's sooooooo fucking annoying. People do it all the time on my commute in London. I get up and move, can't bear it. I used to say something but people are so volatile these days I just move myself.

Had this in a&e the other night. Mother with two young children, just being ignored while she scrolled through some kind of social media platform, playing videos. I ended up entertaining her eldest one with my eldest boy

Someone watched a whole episode of Bridgerton when I was on the bus recently, broadcasting loudly to the whole of the top deck. I put my headphones on and silently seethed.

These people seem oblivious to the fact others are having to endure their shit SM scrolling. No self-awareness. None whatsoever.
