My wonderful DH invited me to meet his colleagues yesterday at a drinks and bowling night. Everyone was lovely and welcoming. One of his female colleagues cheerily greeted me hello, v friendly, when l looked back again she was still looking at me in the eyes (smiling, nothing antagonistic!), it just felt like a few seconds longer than usual social norms would dictate. That is all.

How would you interpret this?

It means nothing. You can't interpret something as fleeting as a "look" I don't think

Thank you all so much for your responses. I realise, this is all totally internal, DH is a wonderful, loving man who adores me (and tells me so every day!), he would never hurt me and we trust each other completely. This all relates to past severe trauma and sadly every now and then the smallest obscure thing will trigger me.

It helps to share to remind myself that my thoughts can occasionally become irrational and to pull myself back from a negative thought loop. I end up down a rabbit hole that is completely unrelated to DH and it's really unhelpful. Also probably being in the throes of moving house and highly stressed doesn't help matters!! Thanks again all x
