To wonder if it's me... (airsupply)

Have any of you used airsupply?

I signed up for airsupply (an online supply teaching agency) some months ago, the summer.

Since them I've had one day's work.

I asked them and they said that things would pick up, but I wanted to ask you if you have had success with this.

My day rate is set at 140. I tried lowering it to 120. I have a 1hr 15 commute circle set. I live close to a biggish city which is close to a much bigger city. I have 12 years' experience teaching secondary but have experience with ks2 and ks5 as well. I have three subjects, and can also do general cover. As far as I am aware my references are good.

Anyone else had similar or better experiences?

Fellow supply here. I've not worked with AirSupply, but heard about them because of Twinkl promoting them heavily for a while. I believe they have owners/CEOs in common.

I've heard of a few people who did sign up with them, but none of them have had much luck getting work from what I can tell.

I’d go for a traditional agency. I’m pretty choosy about schools I’ll go to, and have still averaged 3 days a week in a not very big town.

FWIW, I only get £112 a day.

Thank you both. Perhaps it's early days for the company and they don't have many schools on their books.
It was a tricky process to be honest, when I had confirmation of the job in the morning, the text gave me something like two or three minutes to confirm it. I could easily have missed it.
I had been with traditional agencies before but had heard that they charge schools something like twice what they pass to the teacher.
