How do you do it? Say if I wanted to video myself painting - do you use your phone camera? GoPro? How do you speed the video up so it’s a “Timelapse”?

it’s my New Years resolution to start a youtube channel but I have no idea how to take the actual video!

I have no idea how you post videos bit first of all you need to grow a VERY thick skin.
I have a friend that posted a few pottery videos, 70% of the comments were things like telling him he was throwing wrong , pieces were no good ( to pit it politely) he had ugly hands WTF.
And yet his work sell well at craft fairs .
