What size frying pan do I want? What is standard?

Away from home so can’t measure and trying to order a present. Google isn’t helping.
Do I want to get a 28cm or 30cm frying pan?

What will use it for mainly? Frying / scrambling eggs? Sauté-ing vegetables? Frying chicken thighs? Making bechamel?

For a whole ox I would recommend something north of 30cm. For a poussin probably the opposite.

I prefer a 30. My new one is 28 and feels
small.
