Nephew is a year old and at nursery. He is not walking as yet.
I drop him off and am more easily available so I get contacted if there is a problem.
Today I get a call from a member of staff saying that nephew has some bruises on his face but none of the staff know how it happened and that he has been crying on and off since he arrived. This isn't unusual as he is like this normally but because of the bruises I went to collect him and there was only one bruise on his cheek, not anymore. Aibu to be annoyed that the two members of staff with him did not know how it happened and to be confused that they said there was multiple bruises but actually only one?

Could they have been coming up during the morning? Say the injury occurred before you took him in, a couple or three small bruises subsequently began to appear and then they've merged into one bigger one? It doesn't necessarily mean he was assaulted at home or anything, but maybe get social services involved to check up on the parents, just in case.

Didn't get them at home as I was with him from 6AM this morning and was just me and him.
