Not just the battery? No rechargeable battery lasts forever, we buy a replacement battery every 3 or 4 years.

Good market on ebay for ones with exhausted batteries or just for spare parts.

4 hanhelds all stopped in the same way
Absolutely dramatic
Never had a worse experience with a vacuum cleaner after 70 years of experience

I hated my Dyson rechargeable. It only worked for 20 minutes before needing recharging. It didn't pick up the cat litter. Then it stopped working after a couple of years. I now have a Henry and can't believe how much better it is!

Absolutely dramatic made me laugh out loud

I find dysons very needy but good if well maintained but they don't last forever. Shark are terrible but get hyped by all the social media influencer, just saying that as a warning in case you decide to change brands.

Mine has just done pretty much the same thing. However, Dyson customer service were fantastic and offered to send out a new battery at no cost. They’ve also given advice as to not overcharge and it should only be changing for about 4 hours at a time. DH is setting up a smart switch which will go on and off so this doesn’t happen. We’ll see how the new battery goes and then ask for a replacement, as per the guarantee, if this is no good.

Why do you keep buying them?

I decided to call Dyson customer service I told the lady I have 4 hanhelds all stopped in the same way she sounded bored.. I pointed out in particular to my DC35, she sounded disgusted and said we dont do spares for this model anymore its discontinued, I said I was not asking you to repair it I am asking for some advice, she said it sounds like your batteriy is gone, I said all the light on the handheld where working but not the light on the charger. I was hoping for some guidance to wether buy a new charger or battery... she went quiet and so did her phone...she quietly dismissed me.. I was not surprised, she's had a hard day, I wasn't buying a new item..I must say my DC35 looks beautiful, its bright and clean.. my parents had 70 year old "hoover" and its still working..
Why I have 4 of those is I have one on a boat one in the country.. I was convinced it was good.. not so now..
