To be shocked DH doesn’t wash his legs and feet in the shower?

had to use the toilet while DH was in the shower this morning and noticed that he doesn’t actually wash his legs or feet.

I asked him about it and he said he never does, he just lets the water and soap run over them and that washes them … 🤢

A) how did I not know this about him?
and B) is this normal? Do people do this.

I wash every part of my body everyday in the shower.

And DH and I are very close, the bathroom door is usually open anyway so we can chat while on the toilet… He really doesn’t care lol

I think if you asked your GP they would say you should wash your feet properly . It's no wonder treatment for fungal nail infection treatment is off prescription nowadays . People who don't wash all over is this what you teach your children , that you don't need to wash all over ?
I can't imagine what some people's shower trays must be like .

Granted not a GP but I have a medical degree and Im one of the non feet washers.

Never had fungal name in my life, fungus grows in DAMP areas.

Our shower trays are exactly like everyone elses, thats why you have never noticed that its completely common and normal not to wash feet.

What do you magically expect to find in our shower trays? we are avoiding controrting one legged on a slippery basin to unnessacerily rub our feet with fats and oils not coiling out a turd lol.

Why would anyone not wash their feet in the shower or in a bath? I haven't seen a persuasive argument. It's just lazy. Even my disabled parent washes her feet with a bath brush loaded up with shower gel or soap.

I've only ever come across one sort of demographic who really get astonished at how washing and general cleanliness works. It's almost like a whole new world. Not washing every part of your body in the shower (excluding hair), is a bit like not cooking every bit of a whole roast chicken but still thinking it's ok to eat.

It’s so much worse that you poo whilst your husband is in the shower. My husband would be disgusted if I did this.

I can't believe some couples don't pee in front of each other. Doesn't bother me at all.

Exactly... I have cerebal palsy so my balance is completely off, I am covered in injuries from head to toe from falls on solid dry groud nevermind a soaped up skidpan.

Only thing that stops me falling in my shower is the fact that as I mentioned in a previous post its TINY, barely wide enough to even stand in with a rainfall fixed shower head directly above the small square space. Even if I slip I just fall into the wall because there isnt room to fall down, this also means their isn't room to reach your legs either though unless you tuck it up to your chest, crammed touching both walls like a pinned foetal postition (which is then really hard to get back out of).

I mean soap (real soap not chemical replacements) is just fat and oils, Imagine thinking your better than someone because you can balence enough to you rub lard between your toes.

If you pee in the shower I think that helps with the fungal foot issue?

I usually wash my feet in the shower

I rarely wash my legs (as in scrubbing) unless I've been for a muddy walk or run

I never go for a poo when DH is in the shower!

Ok well it absolutely isn't. Also if you're saying it's essential to wash every part of your body every day in the shower, why is your hair excluded from this? It's probably dirtier than the rest of your body.

@somuchtolearnabout because washing afro hair everyday would be a disaster. I cannot understand why if you're in the shower you'd think - "I think my left arm doesn't need a wash or my right leg seems fine for now". But again this oft comes up and it's always staggering. No wonder people stink on the tube.

@VladmirsPoutine so it's ok not to wash your hair, which is a part of your body which is completely exposed for the entirety of the day, just because it's inconvenient, but you're lambasting other people for not washing their LEGS and feet????! Unless my feet are visibly dirty I absolutely definitely don't wash them and never have / never will. I've never had smelly legs or feet in my entire life and im 35 years old

It's not that it's inconvenient, it would ruin my hair. It's very fine, fragile and curly
And also washing and drying it takes a good 2hrs so I would spend every evening doing that
My hair doesn't smell of anything except conditioner or perfume, my feet get sweaty and cracked if I don't soap them
