To be shocked DH doesn’t wash his legs and feet in the shower?

had to use the toilet while DH was in the shower this morning and noticed that he doesn’t actually wash his legs or feet.

I asked him about it and he said he never does, he just lets the water and soap run over them and that washes them … 🤢

A) how did I not know this about him?
and B) is this normal? Do people do this.

I wash every part of my body everyday in the shower.

Apart from the fact this has been done before, and it's a naff topic and always was, how the fuck can you NOT wash your legs and feet in the shower? Does he sit down on his arse in the shower and hang his legs and feet outside of it?

I don't wash my legs or feet in the shower, neither of them smell! I don't wash my arms or back either. Contrary to popular belief, we don't need to cover ourselves in soap to be clean. Advertising is a very clever thing!

I would hate for my husband to walk into the bathroom while I was showering, have a wee (or more) and judge my hygiene habits. Wrong!

yep this is the gross bit.

Sometimes I wash my legs and sometimes I don't... when I do its more to stimulate circulation because they have turned purple rather than because I think they are dirty.

My feet a in water the entire time showering, what more could rubbing them do?

Our shower cublicle is also TINY, it near impossible to rub my legs down (have to brace my back against one side and bend my leg up to my chest, where its touching the other wall opposit, and even then I struggle to reach the ankle) there no way I could be washing my feet IN the shower.

If something 'horrible' happen like I stood on a slug barefoot (pretty rare lol) then I have a shower head attachment on the bath and wash my feet like that sat on the side of the bath.

I would never go use the toilet while someone in the shower though.

i dont necessarily wash my feet unless ive going round barefoot or something-but then i have baths not showers

You do know that washing is more than letting water drip over something don't you?

Like if I shove my hands under the tap I am wetting them, not washing them. To wash them requires rubbing in soap. Is this news to you??

Ashamed to admit that I only found out this was a ‘thing’ about 6 months ago and I’m 43. I guess I just assumed the same as your husband 🤷‍♀️ My mum was horrified when I told her 😬

Someone I used to work with thought it was acceptable that if he went for a poo and was going in the shower straight after, he didn't need to wipe he just hosed himself off in the shower 🤢

He didn't understand why everyone was horrified.

How can feet that have only had water running over them not smell?? Gross!

Anyway, my legs and feet get a proper wash if they're muddy from running, otherwise I just let the water wash them. I have dry skin so prefer not to aggravate that.
Oh and if I'm shaving them (not often at this time of year) then they will get lathered - my legs that is, I don't shave my feet!

Well it's not just water is it? It's soapy water that then sits on the floor of the shower/bath and you stomp about it in (or move about in it anyways).

I only actively wash mine if they're dirty otherwise it's just soapy water run off.

I think the only time I've been the toilet in front of DH was when I was in labour. Not intentional and we do not discuss it.
