To be shocked DH doesn’t wash his legs and feet in the shower?

Kissmybaubles · 08/12/2022 09:16

had to use the toilet while DH was in the shower this morning and noticed that he doesn’t actually wash his legs or feet.

I asked him about it and he said he never does, he just lets the water and soap run over them and that washes them … 🤢

A) how did I not know this about him?
and B) is this normal? Do people do this.

I wash every part of my body everyday in the shower.

Yawn. This one has been done to death on here!

There was another thread just a week ago - so boring I agree

Grassisbluer · 08/12/2022 09:49

Using the toilet while someone else is showering is much more off-putting than not washing legs...

Butchyrestingface · 08/12/2022 09:50

You lost me at this.

AriettyHomily · 08/12/2022 09:50

I have never washed my feet with the exception of when I have been out in flip flops and they are visibly dirty. It's never occurred to me to wash them otherwise.

LakieLady · 08/12/2022 09:51

I wash my feet but not my legs.

I have very dry skin, and if I get too much soap and stuff on my legs they flake like mad. Exfoliating seems to make them worse - they flake for days afterwards.

SummaLuvin · 08/12/2022 09:26

I'd be a bit more disgusted by my partner coming in to take a dump when I was showering to be honest.

When did OP say she did this?

DesertIslandCondiment · 08/12/2022 09:27

This was the bit I was shocked at 😂.

Didn't shock me tbh. But I think when you've intruded and are sitting inspecting your husbands washing methods from the shitter, you have a bit of a cheek lol

Yawn...... People have too much of time these days, most people are too busy trying to put food on the table.

It’s never occurred to you that you might have to wash your feet? 🤨

Too busy to wash your limbs? Lol

Nothing like taking a nice shower while your partner fills the room with the smell of crap.

Absolutely vile!
The smell of poo mixing with the scent of shower gel...

A well known Department store used to have perfume testers that the loo attendant used to spritz in the air if someone had used the loo for a poo..
The smell of excrement overlaid with perfume was horrible.
An open window would have been so much better.

minipie · 08/12/2022 09:57

Have you noticed his feet and legs smelling or
looking grubby?

If not then it’s not an issue.

Hugasauras · 08/12/2022 09:58

I wouldn't do a poo but I quite often pee while DH is in the bathroom too, or pee with door open! Don't think it's that weird or unusual? We are a open-door house for pees but def not poos!

But yes presumably if his legs smelled you would have noticed before now!

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 08/12/2022 09:58

Why is everyone assuming she pooed rather than had a wee? Surely most couples are OK peeing in front of one another?

I only wash my feet in the summer. Always wash my legs though

Hugasauras · 08/12/2022 09:58

When did OP said she had gone for a shit? Confused

On the same principle scented dog poo bags are available. The scent of vanilla mixed with dog poo is worse than that of just dog poo.

I occasionally wash my feet in the shower but not every time, they don’t smell that much.

Phrenologistsfinger · 08/12/2022 10:02

No partner of mine has ever or will ever see me use the toilet in any sense. That’s a firm boundary!

Nirvanarama · 08/12/2022 10:04

I like to mix it up with a bath every now and then so everything gets a good soak....

Where you in there for his whole shower? On the toilet...? Actually, I don't want to know...

Yet the poster managed to free themselves up to read and post 😏

loislovesstewie · 08/12/2022 10:04

I never use the loo in front of anyone, I find that more shocking.

Pelo2022 · 08/12/2022 10:07

I wash everything
Armpits and feet with soap and a flannel and places like belly button, behind ears, in between toes
Rest of my body with shower gel and a shower puff
Exfoliating scrub a couple of times a week

PeachyMama · 08/12/2022 10:07

Had to comment on this as me and DH had the same conversation before 😂 he lathers and washes his legs and feet with soap in the shower whereas I think it's a bit unnecessary I mean unless you've been rolling in mud how dirty do your legs get ?! I find this argument funny so am
Enjoying reading the replies. Each to their own I think!!

minipie · 08/12/2022 10:10

If I use shower gel on my arms and legs, I get dry skin.

Those who wash their limbs - do you then need to use body lotion/moisturiser?

Sunshineandflipflops · 08/12/2022 10:10

I agree with other posters about a few things:
1 - using the toilet in front of your partner is way more gross
2 - I specifically wash my legs when I shave them as I use shower gel instead of foam - so that's about once a week at the moment. The rest of the time, the soap work its way down over my legs, which don't get particularly dirty anyway. I concentrate on the bits that need it the most (face, hair, under arms, nether regions).
3 - my shower is a slow drainer, despite many unblocking attempts so my feet are in plenty of soapy water for the duration of my shower to be clean. If they are especially dirty (in the summer when wearing sandals) I will wash them.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 08/12/2022 10:11

Where did the OP say she was doing a poo? If it was just a wee then TBH I can’t see the objection, unless anyone’s really prudish.
